No punch on his face for Nonito!

“Much better to give punches than to receive blows from opponents and smash up my face,” says Nonito Donaire, the new endorser of Team Mikaela, one of the country’s leading aesthetic clinic. Asked how he takes care of his face, he says it’s taken cared of and safely perfected by Mikaela Medical Team.
Yesterday the top six pound-for-pound fighter in the world, along with wife Rachel Donaire, Fil-Am USA National Collegiate and Military Taekwondo champ, were officially launched as new endorsers and fresh additions to Ruffa Gutierrez and Rufa Mae Quinto after they signed the contract and became full-fledged members of Team Mikaela.
Fresh from his astonishing victory against Mexican slugger Manuel Vargas last Feb. 13, WBA interim World Super Flyweight champion Nonito Donaire has stepped into the beauty, health and wellness turf by sealing an endorsement deal with one of the country’s leading aesthetic clinic, Mikaela, “your new best friend.”
It is one knockout of a partnership.
While Nonito and Rachel have constantly made their kababayans proud by beating Panamans, Armenians, Americans, South Africans, Thais and athletes of other nationalities in their respective sports, so has Mikaela contributed in raising the local health and beauty industry to become at par with the best that top clinics in any part of the world could offer.
Mikaela couldn’t have picked more apt endorsers. Nonito and Rachel are prized athletes who obviously watch over their health and fitness zealously in order to deliver the goods. In addition, like Mikaela’s tagline “Beauty and health created by nature, safely perfected by Mikaela Medical Team,” the Donaires have seen to their wellness, safely and naturally as reflected in their lifestyle.
Then again, Donito and Rachel could not have made a better choice. Mikaela has an unbeatable record in delivering results to their patients and clients, as they are equipped with state-of-the-art, ultra modern, fifth generation medical apparatus and devices that render risk-free skin care and non-invasive fat-removal and slimming treatments.
Moreover, just as Nonito and Rachel ensure their triumphs by training for their matches, Mikaela invests highly on their medical team and staff, through constant research and participation in various conferences and seminars all over the world.
Mikaela will further distinguish itself when it opens its multi-million peso beauty and wellness resort hotel in Tagaytay City late 2010. It is their commitment to uplift medical tourism and a place that can cater to the personal taste and comfort level of even their most discriminating clients and patients.
It is interesting to note that the rates at Mikaela are often just a fraction of the cost charged by similar top clinics here and abroad. This is because Mikaela ensures that beauty does not become the domain of the rich and famous. Indeed, Mikaela welcomes and treats all their clients the way they would a Donito or a Rachel Donaire.
Nonito (dubbed “The Filipino Flash”) also has conquests ahead. Right after his fight with Vargas, Nonito expressed his desire for a rematch against WBC Super Flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan, probably in June. Nonito gave Darchinyan a TKO loss in the fifth round back in 2007, the victory awarded by “Ring Magazine” as “Knockout of the Year” and “Upset of the Year.”
Whether it is Darchinyan or another boxer he will fight next, one thing is for sure: Team Mikaela is behind Nonito all the way!
