Underage too

Mellisa Ricks, Empress Shuck and Lauren Young take on the roles of Dina Bonnevie, Snooky Serna and Maricel Soriano in the television remake of “Underage.” The initial offering of ABS-CBN's Your Song Presents features the adaptations of some well-loved Pinoy teen flicks from the 80's. Regal Films released "Underage" as directed by Joey Gosiengfiao based on the story and screenplay by Toto Belano in 1980. It launched Dina, Snooky and Maricel Soriano as young-adult actress. It co-stars Matt Evans, Valene Montenegro, AJ Perez, Rafael Rosell, William Lorenzo and Sylvia Sanchez. The TV version will not be as sexy as the original film. STIR  met Melissa, Empress and Lauren during “Underage’s” media launch and here’s what they shared about their roles:

Did you watch “Underage” before reprising your role? What do you think about it?

Melissa: I watched part in YouTube. I think the movie has a  sexy and daring theme.

Empress: I've watched it in YouTube too but I hope we'd able to watch the entire movie if only there is an available copy in DVD. The movie, I think, is sexy.

Lauren: I tried to watch it in YouTube but failed kaya I can’t give a comment.

Who is your character and describe her it?

Melissa: I portray the role of Celina as played by Ms. Dina Bonnevie, the most confident among the three siblings.

Empress: I'm Cecilia as played by Ms. Maricel Soriano, the toughest of the three.
 
Lauren: I’m Corazon as played by Ms. Snooky Serna, the frail manhater.

How will you differentiate your real character to your reel character?

Melissa: Celina is the complete opposite of Melissa Ricks. I'm not that confident since I get intimidated sometimes.

Lauren: Most of my friends are guys, so I'm not like Corazon. But ‘yung pagiging shy ni Corazon, I think I’m like her kasi medyo mahiyain din talaga ako.

Empress: May times na may pagka-toughy ako but I’m not completely na ganoon just like Celina.
