Kamikazee lead guitarist arriving at 2pm today by: Edgar O. Cruz | STIR Editor (Chief Agitator)

After nearly two months of detention for illegal possession of prohibited drug at the Immigration Section of Terminal 2 of the Dubai International Airport, Kamikazee lead guitarist Led Zeppelin Tuyay will go home today. He will take a flight from Dubai to Manila and arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 2pm.
With the assistance of the Philippine Consul and The Filipino Channel, he reported to the prosecutor last Dec. 25 and pleaded guilty to the charge. He said the prohibited drug was the residue of old marijuana leaves he placed in the bag’s pocket a long time ago. The prosecutor dismissed the case. His decision was to deport him. After signing his deportation papers, finger printing and eye scanning which took 12 days, he was deported and prohibited from entering the United Arab Emirates for one year.
Led went to Dubai to do a rock concert with Kamikazee, Pupil and Rivermaya as organized by The Filipino Channel. When the group arrived at Terminal 2 of the Dubai International Airport on Dec. 5, Led’s bag was detected to have traces of marijuana. He was not allowed to enter Dubai and was detained at the Immigration Section. The rest of the band members were allowed to enter as they were not implicated to Led’s violation. The concert proceeded as scheduled and the rest of the band members were allowed to return to the Philippines after the concert.
